Web Design Final Exam - Spring 2009
For your exam, you will create a mini site, similar to the Tech Web site.
The content of the site is to be about this time in your life, end of high school, start of summer and your plans in the Fall.
File storage and links 20points
The site will need to be stored:
in it's own folder named exam on your hard drive, and
in its own directory on your Angelfire site.
You will need to write the pages in HTML on your computer, then upload it to your site.
You will need to get the link from your main Angelfire index to your EXAM index.html
HTML 20 points
The html of the pages should have normal HTML structure
Include a comment in the head of each page with your name, page name and date.
Each page should have a title describing what the page is about
NAVIGATION SYSTEM 20 points
On every page, you will need to have the same navigation, or Nav Bar
Include links to each of these: up a level <a href="../index.html">Up a level</a>
index.html, thisyear.html, summer.html, future.html,
Put these in an Unordered List <UL> with each link an item.
You can place the navbar at the top or on the left by using the css.
CSS 20 points
The styling of the pages will be done with an external CSS style sheet.
The style sheet will be called exam.css
The style sheet needs to control the BODY, H1, H2, P, DIV, UL
You can place your UL on the left in a vertical layout, you can put it across the top with a horizontal layout.
Print your CSS.
CONTENT OF THE PAGES 20 points
index.html
Introduce the project of the site explaining your transition from high school to beyond.
thisyear.html
What are your best memories of this year? Write two to three paragraphs about the most exciting or interesting things your have done this year. Include at least three links. Include links to the individual project documentation you did this term.
summer.html
Explain in two to three paragraphs what your plans for the summer are. Include links to organizations you will be involved with and places you plan to go. Include at least three links.
future.html
Tell in two to three paragraphs what you are planning to do in your future beyond high school. Include at least three links.
Print your HTML pages
When you are done
After finishing your Exam Site, you should check back through your Angelfire site, and make sure that all the links on all the pages and all the links work.
You should have a working link from your main index to every web page you have created during the semester on your index.
Make sure your documentation of your Individual project has a link on your main Angelfire index.
